Title: US Space & Rocket Center Chooses Redbird for Training Devices

Redbird Flight (Redbird) announced that the U.S. Space & Rocket Center (USSRC) has added a fleet of 31 Redbird aviation training devices (ATDs) to its Aviation Challenge program. In June, USSRC took delivery of 17 TD2 basic aviation training devices (BATDs) and 12 LD advanced aviation training devices (AATDs), with two additional AATDs — a type-specific King Air 350 and Cessna Citation CJ1+ — expected later this year. All devices are equipped with Redbird Corvus and Tracon, a classroom management system that lets instructors control and monitor each device from a single interface.

The fleet of ATDs is housed within the USSRC’s newly opened Inspiration4 Skills Training Complex, a 50,000-square-foot building dedicated to utilizing the latest in mission simulation technology and physical challenge courses. With the new facility and training tools, USSRC plans to expand its year-round program offerings for both youth and adult learners.

USSRC will implement the new training devices into the Aviation Challenge program this fall.

In addition, Redbird has introduced an evolution of its flight deck software and hardware, beginning with a high-fidelity G1000 NXi emulation and an interchangeable 'E001' instrument panel. The NXi software, releasing August 17, includes Synthetic Vision Technology, HSI mapping on the primary flight display, and SafeTaxi. The E001 panel, available in early 2027, features hardware for two G1000 GDU 1054Bs, a GMA1347 audio panel, and three analog standby instruments.
