Saab has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Canadian AI company Cohere to explore collaboration on artificial intelligence technologies in support of the GlobalEye programme.

The MOU establishes a framework to cooperate on data-driven mission support, maintenance tools, and information processing within secure aerospace environments. The agreement is connected to the GlobalEye opportunity in Canada but is also intended to serve existing and future international GlobalEye operators. Initial pilot projects have been identified to assess potential pathways for cooperation.

Technologies developed through the partnership are also intended to contribute to Saab's broader global product offerings.

Ivan Zhang, Co-Founder of Cohere, said the partnership would explore what AI can deliver for aerospace, with a focus on faster data processing, operational tempo, clearer insights, and support for critical decision making.
