Aerospace Lab Announced for Mississippi Workforce Training

Northrop Grumman Corporation, Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves, and Northeast Mississippi Community College (NEMCC) announced the future site of the Northrop Grumman Aerospace Lab at NEMCC’s Corinth campus.

Partly funded by a Northrop Grumman Foundation grant, the facility is expected to open in early 2026. It will provide hands-on training in composite material fabrication, repair, and inspection, and simulate workplace environments for students entering the aerospace and defense industry. The project aligns with NEMCC’s goal to expand career-ready programs across the region.

This state-of-the-art facility will be another great asset in preparing our residents for the high-paying, high-tech jobs of the next 50 years.
