Indra has introduced a new artificial intelligence capability into its simulators that enables the rapid creation of tactical training scenarios in minutes. This development significantly shortens a process that previously took days or even weeks. The system is being integrated into Indra’s new simulators and will also be added to systems already in service.

Simulators have long been essential tools for mission preparation, allowing armed forces to train in environments that realistically replicate terrain and battlefield conditions. Creating these scenarios has traditionally required extensive manual input and time. Indra’s new AI-based system, which uses advanced language models, streamlines this process by allowing instructors to describe the desired scenario—either verbally or in writing—and automatically generating a full synthetic environment, complete with units, routes, and behaviors.

Instructors can modify elements such as unit positions or formations, and the system adapts to user preferences over time. This tool adds to Indra’s existing AI applications, which simulate the behavior of various platforms during training exercises.

Indra continues to develop simulation technologies aligned with concepts such as Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) training and Modeling and Simulation as a Service (MSaaS), and has also recently introduced IndraMind, its AI system for enhancing automation and operational superiority in multi-domain environments.
