The first production test flights of Airbus H135 helicopters, which will serve in Canada’s Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program, have been completed. Each flight lasted roughly one hour and included mechanical and avionics checks to confirm system functionality and airworthiness.

Selected by SkyAlyne as the rotary-wing training platform for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), these twin-engine H135s, designated as CT-153 Juno within the RCAF, will be used to train future aircrew.

Final completion of the CT-153 Junos, including painting and installation of Canadian-developed supplemental type certificates (STCs), will occur at Airbus Helicopters’ Fort Erie, Ontario facility. These helicopters are intended to provide a standardized platform for the next generation of RCAF rotary-wing pilots, supporting both training efficiency and operational readiness.
