The Indian simulation and training services firm Zen Technologies has secured a Rupees 1.2 billion (USD 13.6 million) contract from the Indian Ministry of Defence (MoD) to supply training simulators and solutions for establishing a new Combat Training Node (CTN) at the Indian Army’s Infantry School located at Mhow in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

According to the company, the new CTN at Mhow - India’s first - will enhance weapon training, tactical drills, force-on-force combat exercises and mission rehearsals, with high fidelity simulation systems.

Ashok Atluri, CMD Zen Technologies said the contract underscored the capability of indigenous Indian R&D to deliver world-class capability when supported by policy. “The CTN represents a shift in how India approaches defence training, from importing foreign systems to building battle tested indigenous capability that can be exported globally,” he said.

The CTN solution will feature Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) training and live firing range solutions with advanced AAR and analytics. The CTN will provide realistic infantry combat training in marksmanship, urban combat, Counter Insurgency/ Counter Terrorism (CI/CT) operations, counter-drone response and mission command.

More than 60 simulators and training solutions including those weapons training, drone drills and target systems for live firing ranges will be supplied by Zen Technologies.
