Valkyrie Enterprises has delivered a Joint Theater Level Simulation – Global Operations (JTLS-GO) technical support seminar in partnership with NATO's Joint Analysis Training and Education Centre (JATEC), supporting Ukraine's National Defence University in developing its operational wargaming capability.
Working with our NATO Joint Analysis Training and Education Centre (JATEC) partners, Valkyrie Enterprises hosted a Two-week JTLS-GO Technical Support Seminar with Ukraine’s National Defence University JTLS-GO Tech Team. This effort combined with the six-week Operational Wargaming Workshop will provide them with the core fundamentals to adapt and institutionalize the use of JTLS-GO.
During this in-person seminar, Ukrainian Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Valkyrie JTLS-GO engineers jointly delivered an in-depth technical program, covering system architecture, scenario development, C4I interfaces, analytical tools, as well as core operational and technical functions of JTLS-GO. The seminar content was tailored based on an initial assessment of the UA SMEs and the previous joint development of JTLS-GO wargame scenarios, which contained the insights from contemporary high-intensity warfare. Our team has truly enjoyed working with our Ukrainian partners and has learned a great deal from them that will be used to shape some immediate development efforts to improve JTLS-GO.
This activity forms part of a broader effort to strengthen operational-level modelling and simulation capabilities across NATO-aligned and partner nations. By supporting the National Defence University of Ukraine in building technical and analytical proficiency in JTLS-GO, the programme contributes to improved planning, training, and decision-making in complex operational environments.
JTLS-GO is employed across NATO and national defence organisations to support operational planning, collective training, analysis, and experimentation. Expanding its use within partner nations supports greater alignment with NATO methodologies and enhances opportunities for interoperability in multinational exercises and planning activities.
