General Dynamics Mission Systems has received a $18.2 million contract for the development, maintenance, and delivery of the Common Weapon Launcher and Multi-Tube Weapon Simulator. The five-year contract includes options that could increase its cumulative value to $230 million and involves Foreign Military Sales to the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom under the AUKUS partnership. Work will be performed in Manassas, Virginia; Charleroi, Pennsylvania; and Middletown, Rhode Island.

Under the contract, Progeny Systems, a General Dynamics Mission Systems business area, will develop and deliver new and modernized weapon launch and simulation capabilities while providing in-service support for previously delivered systems.

“Progeny Systems is a trusted provider of submarine combat system capabilities. We look forward to providing the U.S. and our Australian and United Kingdom partners with these critical submarine warfighting and training capabilities,” said Dr. Laura Hooks, vice president and general manager of Maritime and Strategic Systems at General Dynamics Mission Systems.
