3D perception (3DP) is supplying Pilatus Aircraft Ltd with its Atlas fixed-wing simulator dome display system for the PC-7 MKX Flight Training Device (FTD) under a non-disclosed European contract. The Atlas system is a compact, high-fidelity dome display offering wide field of view, image uniformity, and high-contrast visuals. It is built on 3DP’s Northstar platform and features the Northstar Aurora auto-aligning instrumented screen, motorized optical blending, high frame rates, and automated geometry and color calibration.

Designed for operational efficiency, Atlas uses long-lifetime projectors that reduce maintenance costs and increase system availability. The system leverages 3DP’s experience in providing visual displays for mission-critical simulators worldwide.

Supporting the PC-7 MKX, a basic trainer aircraft with advanced avionics and modern cockpit systems, the visual display system enhances realistic pilot training and contributes to pilot readiness across European air forces.

3D perception is exhibiting at I/ITSEC 2025, Booth #1201. Stop by to learn more.
