PaleBlue has delivered a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) training simulator to a facility at the Portuguese Maritime Authority. The simulator is operated by Atlantis Robotics, a Portuguese company providing ROV training for the Portuguese Navy.

The simulator is based on PaleBlue's ROV simulation platform and supports training across navigation, manipulator operation, subsea installation, emergency response, and fault management. Instructors can monitor and evaluate pilot performance in real time. Training has been conducted in collaboration with the Portuguese Hydrographic Institute and the Portuguese Maritime Authority.

"Advanced simulation is no longer an option, but a strategic necessity to ensure mission success and operational excellence in complex subsea environments," said Giancarlo Icolari, CEO at Atlantis Robotics.

"The integration of PaleBlue's advanced simulation technology represents a quantum leap for Atlantis Robotics and subsea training in Portugal. We are not merely providing a tool; we are architecting the future of national maritime safety, ensuring that the Navy has access to the world's most high-fidelity technology for mission-critical operations. The simulator training done in collaboration with the Portuguese Hydrographic Institute and the Portuguese Maritime Authority demonstrated that the use of the ROV simulator substantially enhanced piloting competencies."

"Our ROV training simulators have been used by the industry for a number of years, and now we are seeing strong adoption from defence actors around the world," said Scott Dodson, CGO at PaleBlue. "Having delivered a training system to the French Navy last year, it's gratifying to see the Portuguese Navy trained on our simulator as well."
