Diamond Visionics, a developer of visual simulation software, has highlighted the role of its GenesisIG image generator in the U.S. Air Force’s T-7A Red Hawk advanced pilot training platform, which recently completed its first Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) flight event.

During the flight, a live T-7A Red Hawk aircraft linked directly with ground-based simulators and synthetic threats. GenesisIG serves as the visual rendering engine within the ground-based training environment, providing synthetic imagery and environment rendering.

GenesisIG uses a source-data-direct architecture. When conditions or mission parameters change, it enables terrain updates in approximately 30 seconds, rather than relying on visual database compilation workflows that can take weeks or months.

“The success of the T-7A program’s first LVC flight demonstrates the critical role that real-time, high-fidelity visual simulation plays in modern flight training,” said Daniel Peters, Sales Manager at Diamond Visionics. “GenesisIG was built to deliver seamless visual realism and rapid synthetic terrain deployment, ensuring flight simulators provide the fidelity needed to train the next generation of fighter and bomber pilots. By running natively at 120 Hz, GenesisIG minimizes stick-to-visual transport delays and delivers industry-leading responsiveness enabling pilots to experience highly accurate visual and flight dynamic cues. Include the ability to handle 8k resolutions at 120hz with hundreds of in scene entities, and the result is a more immersive and effective training environment that accelerates learning and better prepares students for the demands of advanced military flight operations, elevating realism for the fighters we work to protect.”

By eliminating traditional visual database compilation bottlenecks, GenesisIG allows training systems integrators to rapidly update terrain, environment parameters, and synthetic threats — delivering the digital twin model imperative for fifth and sixth-generation pilot preparation.
