Turkish Defence Firm Builds on Nigerian Exports

HAVELSAN is participating in AFRIDEX 2026, taking place on 26–29 October at Eko Atlantic in Lagos, Nigeria, where it is meeting military delegations, government representatives and industry partners.

The company already has references in Nigeria, including exports of the ADVENT Combat Management System, the BAHA autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle and shooting simulators. It has delivered two 10-lane shooting simulator systems to the Nigerian Army.

At the exhibition, discussions will focus on border security, naval modernisation, unmanned systems and training. HAVELSAN’s training portfolio covers shooting, sniper, tank, armoured vehicle, parachute and urban operations training, as well as electronic warfare ranges and wargaming.

Şevket Ünal, HAVELSAN Vice President for International Business Development and Marketing, will speak on 28 October at the panel “From Partnership to Production – Advancing Türkiye–Nigeria Defence Industry Cooperation.”

HAVELSAN is also meeting Nigerian institutions and local industry to discuss potential cooperation models, including joint production, technology sharing and long-term support.
