The United States Air Force has issued a request for information seeking contractors to instruct international pilots who receive American military assistance. The Air Force Security Assistance Training Squadron currently educates over 9,000 students from 142 countries annually through Foreign Military Sales initiatives.
Contractors would deliver instruction covering nine mission categories, from light attack operations to medical evacuation and VIP transport. Training encompasses basic through advanced flying skills, mission planning, and emergency procedures using various aircraft types including trainers, cargo planes, helicopters, and business jets.
The program requires classroom education, simulation technology, and virtual reality systems. Companies must demonstrate cultural competency when working with international students and maintain diverse aircraft fleets under challenging conditions.
