Two exercises focusing on the integration of new maritime technologies into NATO operations and the ability of autonomous underwater vehicles to operate together are being held in Portugal this month.
The company has delivered three firsts during Formidable Shield 23, which was hosted over three weeks at MOD Hebrides and included nearly 4,000 Allied military personnel from 13 NATO nations.
The exercise was the perfect opportunity for Standing NATO Maritime Group 2 (SNMG2) and the US Navy’s Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group to hone their advanced warfighting skills and interoperability.
