MILO Range has introduced a generative artificial intelligence feature to its MILO VR and Focus3D law enforcement simulators, aiming to accelerate communication training for officers. The AI enables computer-generated characters to respond more naturally in virtual scenarios, offering realistic, unscripted dialogue. Instructors configure character traits and behavior levels, allowing for a wide range of unpredictable outcomes during each session.

This solution reduces instructor workload by eliminating the need to control dialogue manually, enabling a stronger focus on evaluating trainees’ decision-making and communication strategies. The AI is especially effective for de-escalation training, with each trainee facing unique character reactions, making the experience difficult to anticipate or rehearse.

Designed as a secure, closed-loop system, the AI operates without internet access, protecting user data. MILO’s AI add-on is now available, providing a dynamic, immersive environment that mirrors real-world interactions while maintaining a safe training setting.
