Augmented Reality (AR) is increasingly being used to improve warehouse training, replacing slow, paper-based methods. Studies show AR can reduce picking errors by up to 30%, using smart glasses or handheld apps that guide employees step by step, display bin codes, and provide instant corrections.

Trials at DHL and BMW demonstrated mis-picks dropping from 3% to 1.5% and 30%, respectively. AR also supports interactive safety drills, helping staff practice forklift operations and hazard recognition, which can cut accident rates by approximately 30%.

Onboarding is streamlined through mixed reality applications that overlay holographic cues on real racks, track trainee movements, and provide real-time feedback. Real-time data visualization further helps supervisors continue to monitor operations and make faster decisions.
