Entrol's Bell 412 simulator, operated by Global Helicopter Service (GHS) in Germany, has received FTD Level 3 certification from Germany's aviation authority, the LBA.

The simulator uses real Garmin GTN 750 & 650 Xi cockpit hardware rather than software replicas, meaning pilots train on the same avionics found in the actual aircraft. It also includes a Mixed Reality hoist operator station for rescue training, and a visual database of German terrain built from satellite imagery for fire-fighting mission practice.

"With this simulator, we are not just training to meet regulations; we are training to ensure that every pilot and hoist operator returns home safely after complex IFR, PBN, or fire-fighting missions," states Íñigo Hernández, Business Development Manager at entrol.

Additional specifications include a 200° x 70° visual system, an integrated vibration system, and a debriefing station for post-flight analysis.
