Bureau Veritas has granted Approval in Principle to Greenroom Robotics for its GAMA maritime autonomy software. It's the first time the classification society has approved self-navigation software.

GAMA uses AI to integrate data from multiple onboard sensors, enabling autonomous navigation, situational awareness, and vessel control. The modular system can be operated onboard or remotely and works across different vessel types.

The move supports broader adoption of autonomous technology in both defense and commercial maritime operations.
