ORamaVR has raised $4.5 million in late‑seed funding to advance the commercial rollout of its AI‑powered Computational Medical Extended Reality (CMXR) platform for surgical training and medical device simulation.
The round was led by Big Pi Ventures and Evercurious VC, with participation from existing and new strategic investors, including FORTH‑ICS, Starttech Ventures, Sofmedica Ventures and Google Maps co‑founder Lars Rasmussen. The financing combines equity and convertible loans.
The company develops immersive software that integrates AI, medical knowledge and extended reality to support surgical training, procedural planning, navigation and rehabilitation. Its primary commercial focus is XR‑based training for medical devices and surgical robotics, offering high‑fidelity simulated environments comparable to aviation‑grade flight simulators.
ORamaVR has also appointed Jan Grund Pedersen as Chief Business Officer to strengthen its commercial leadership as it scales internationally.
Clinically validated to improve surgical performance and reduce errors, ORamaVR’s platform aims to position the company as a leading provider of advanced digital training tools for global healthcare systems.
