A new training system is bringing virtual reality into firearm practice. Aimpoint’s GAIM platform, designed for use with Meta Quest headsets, enables users to rehearse drills, target transitions, and competition stages without live ammunition. The system includes an inert Arex Delta II replica handgun that connects with the platform to simulate realistic scenarios.
Users can choose between firearm models such as Arex, Walther, or Glock, with options for iron sights or Aimpoint optics. The application allows custom ranges, barricade training, and IPSC-style courses, offering more flexibility than traditional dry fire. While not intended to replace live fire training, GAIM provides a digital supplement for home-based skill development.
