Ocean Software has been selected by SkyAlyne to provide Resource Management and Scheduling (RM&S) capability for Canada's Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program, supporting the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). Under the agreement, Ocean will deliver its FlightPRO and TAMS solutions to support planning, scheduling and management of training operations across FAcT.
SkyAlyne, a joint venture between CAE and KF Aerospace, is the prime contractor for FAcT, which will modernize RCAF pilot and aircrew training. The program will operate from 15 Wing Moose Jaw, 15 Wing Southport and 17 Wing Winnipeg, introducing five new aircraft fleets totaling 71 aircraft, managed jointly by industry, RCAF and government.
The announcement builds on more than 20 years of partnership between Ocean and the RCAF.
Kevin Lemke, General Manager of SkyAlyne, said FAcT marks a significant step forward in how Canada trains its future pilots and aircrew. He added that Ocean Software's long-standing experience across existing RCAF training programs provides a strong foundation as the program modernizes training for the Royal Canadian Air Force.
