VR Forklift Training Boosts Efficiency at Savannah Tech

Bluworkz, a U.S.-based immersive training provider, partnered with Savannah Technical College to integrate virtual reality forklift training into the school’s “Fast Track Warehouse & Logistics program.” 

Students, adult learners, and transitioning service members now use Bluworkz’s VR Forklift Simulator to gain hands-on experience in a virtual environment.

According to Bill Stankeiwicz, forklift and OSHA instructor at the college, the VR simulations offer an immersive experience that improves knowledge retention and accelerates skill acquisition. He reported that training time can be reduced by up to three to five times using this approach.The virtual training supplements a broader curriculum that includes global supply chains, logistics, quality control, equipment operation, and safety. Program participants also have the opportunity to earn two nationally recognized certifications from the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council: Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) and Certified Logistics Technician (CLT).
