VirtuaLens has introduced an immersive virtual reality platform that allows cataract surgery patients to experience how different intraocular lens (IOL) options — including monofocal, multifocal, and premium lenses — may affect their everyday vision before going into surgery. Scenarios include activities like night driving, reading, and screen use.

The platform aims to improve patient confidence and informed decision-making ahead of surgery, giving surgeons a clearer path to matching each patient with the right lens choice.

Alongside the product launch, VirtuaLens announced a partnership with Virtual Vision Health, whose platform covers vision screening, visual field testing, and color sensitivity assessments. Under the agreement, Virtual Vision Health will handle commercialization and distribution in the US and Brazil.
