New simulation-based training solutions for industrial equipment operators have been introduced, focusing on safer performance in high-risk work environments.
Industrial Training International (ITI), part of Interplay Learning, has expanded its training portfolio with new simulation and blended learning programmes designed to support workforce development in industrial and construction sectors.
The training offerings include updates to a virtual reality crane simulator that allows operators to practise equipment handling in a controlled environment. Enhancements include a new ten-ton overhead crane simulation, expanded training scenarios and the integration of a Magnetek XLTX Bellybox Transmitter developed in partnership with Columbus McKinnon Corporation.
The simulation platform is intended to help operators develop operational skills before working with real equipment, reducing training risk while supporting competency development.
Additional programmes include new maintenance training covering electrical fundamentals and troubleshooting, along with expanded digital course catalogues offering more than 100 courses. These include skill assessments and learning pathways focused on warehouse equipment, mechanical systems and industrial safety.
“Having a presence at CONEXPO-CON/AGG speaks volumes about our influence within the industry,” said Doug Donovan, co-founder and CEO of Interplay Learning. “It's a sign that the broader construction world is embracing modern, technology-driven approaches to workforce development, and that our simulation-based training is resonating with construction leaders who need scalable, effective ways to reduce risk.”
