Virtual reality is becoming a core part of law enforcement training, offering safe, consistent, and scalable simulations. At Axon Week 2025, police professionals tested Axon VR headsets in complex scenarios involving traffic stops, domestic violence, and active shooter responses.

Trainers could monitor real-time decisions and replay performance using video systems housed in mobile training pods. Officials said VR scenarios can now respond dynamically to trainee actions using AI and will soon include verbal interaction. Axon emphasized that the technology is not meant to replace in-person training, but to enhance instruction through repetition, feedback, and skill-specific modules such as de-escalation and communication.
