Rheinmetall Electronics GmbH and Singapore’s Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly explore digitalisation and experimentation in simulation and training systems. The collaboration aims to enhance training capabilities for the Singapore Armed Forces by leveraging technologies such as artificial intelligence, extended reality, and cloud computing.

Announced during IMDEX Asia 2025, the agreement also includes talent development opportunities, with exchange programmes and internships at Rheinmetall for DSTA engineers and students. Both organizations emphasized their shared commitment to innovation, realism, and effective training outcomes.

“This collaboration will enable Rheinmetall and DSTA to tap on each other’s strengths to explore advanced simulation technologies to develop more realistic, engaging and effective training capabilities," said Yeoh Ee-Wen, Director of Simulation and Training Systems at DSTA. "In doing so, we hope to harness the transformative potential of these technologies to enhance training for the Singapore Armed Forces.”
