Simnest introduced its Simnest Multifunction Control Unit (SMCU) that helps transform clients’ simulators into one-button start-stop training devices. With the SMCU there is no need for long checklists on start-up according to Simnest.

The SMCU includes a touch screen panel with password protection and lets cadets start the simulator in different modes including training-, test- (for new features and pre-authorization) and practice-mode.

Clients can add users to SMCU with password protection for access privileges to different modes. SMCU has Internet of Things (IOT) capability including remote startup and shutdown for maintenance out-of-opening hours. Simnest says the system is easy to use and does not require a simulator technician for operation.
