Vcom3D released its new Virtual HHIO Training app on the Google Play store. It is an interactive serious game that challenges the user’s knowledge in humeral head intraosseous infusion. This app is both instructive and educational, and can be used for students just learning the skill or seasoned practitioners looking to refresh their abilities.
It features realistic 3D graphics to put the user in the center of the action; in this case, an isolated roadway in Afghanistan where the player’s Humvee has just been involved in a rollover accident. It is up to the user to initiate venous access on the wounded squad mate, and the most appropriate method is via intraosseous humeral head infusion.
