Oman Aviation Academy (OAA) have awarded a contract to MPS for a B737 MAX FTD. MPS expect delivery in mid 2020.
The device will have the latest version of MAX software installed and will also include advanced options such as MPS instructorless training.
OAA is based at Sohar Airport. It is the first academy for civil and military aviation training in the country.
In the new MPS device, the ATO will conduct various aviation training programs including the fully integrated EASA Airline Transport Pilot ATPL(A) Training Program.
OAA’s Chief Executive Officer, Captain Abdullah Al Bulushi, said the purchases would help the company achieve its goals.
"OAA is a new ATO aiming to be one of the leading pilot training organisations in the region," he said.
"The simulators will have the latest software and advanced options which will help us provide the highest training standard."
MPS develops, manufactures and maintains type specific simulators, using actual Boeing B737 and Airbus A320 flight decks.
