Edgybees Wins its Largest Contract from AFWERX

Edgybees has been awarded its largest contract yet by AFWERX, an innovation program within the U.S. Air Force. The contract will see Edgybees’ computer vision technology, in the form of its augmented reality (AR) software solution Argus, integrated with the U.S. Air Force’s systems to bolster situational awareness in complex operational scenarios.

Edgybees’ Argus solution provides commanders detailedinsight into operational environments by augmenting live video footage withlayers of precise, real-time, geospatial information. Edgybees’ solution isfacilitating situational awareness, efficient planning and clear communicationfor teams on the ground and in the air.

Edgybees is one of 21 small businesses slated to receivefour-year, fixed contracts with the combined worth of $550+ million throughAFVentures’ Strategic Financing (STRATFI) program, including more than $100million in Air Force funding, over $100 million in SBIR funds, and more than$350 million in private investment.

The contract follows a round of contracts awarded toEdgybees by AFWERX at the end of last year, including the Small BusinessInnovation Research Phase II contract, a competitive awards-based program thatenables small businesses to explore their technological potential within thedefense sector and beyond.
