Design Interactive, Inc. has been awarded the DARPA GIST (Generative Immersive Scenario Testbed). This award is a very strategic win for DI. The scarcity of available content and knowledge of how to design value-added applications have hindered widespread adoption of XR technology. The Phase I project will facilitate automating aspects immersive virtual and augmented reality scenario generation by integrating capabilities from machine learning, video crowdsourcing, human behavior modeling, and advanced video analysis for rapid 3D modeling and animation.

This contract comes in the wake of several recent initiatives and related advancements to Design Interactive’s next-generation Human Systems Integration and eXtended Reality (XR) research and development portfolio, which includes advanced human performance assessment technologies, human digital phenotyping and modeling, and a portfolio of advanced XR training.

“Building from our deep knowledge of how to design performance empowering XR content, the GIST win positions DI to be a leader in automated XR content generation and help companies design adoption strategies that truly empower their workforce from the outset. DARPA GIST will provide needed momentum to fuel global deployment of immersive technologies and we are excited to be a part of this strategic opportunity,“ said Dr. Kay Stanney, Founder and CEO of Design Interactive.
