In a joint effort between NYK Line and Damen, Japan inaugurates an advanced full mission bridge simulator at a new training center in Akita, according to OE Digital.

Specifically designed for offshore wind operations, this simulator, developed in collaboration with maritime simulation company VSTEP Simulation, completed Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) in October 2023. The facility aims to serve as a pivotal hub for comprehensive training in the intricate aspects of offshore wind installations, reinforcing Japan's commitment to advancing its capabilities in the renewable energy sector.
