The Department of the U.S. Army is implementing additional safety training for rotary-wing pilots and maintainers across all components effective immediately.

Training will include academic instruction on power management and spatial disorientation. Technical proficiency training will also be provided for maintainer Military Occupational Specialty in accordance with the Aviation Maintenance Training Program.

In addition, all organizations will conduct training on the background and requirements of the new Risk Common Operating Picture.
