FLIGHT SIMULATOR

Czech Aviation Training Centre (CATC), a subsidiary of Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic (ANS CR), has signed an agreement with the Czech aircraft manufacturer Aircraft Industries and CAE to supply a state-of-the-art L 410 simulator.

Considering the increasing production of the L 410 from Aircraft Industries (currently 16 new aircraft are produced per year and there is future planned capacity of 25 aircraft per year) and more than 350 aircraft currently operated worldwide, a new simulator was necessary in order to increase safety and the quality of training. The production of the simulator will be provided by CAE, and it will be certified to Level D. Under the terms of the agreement, the simulator will be ready for training in the middle of 2016.

CATC executive director, Jan Janik commented: "The purchase of a new simulator for the L 410 aircraft type significantly expands our offering in the area of pilot training and will complement the other simulators for Boeing, Airbus and ATR which we operate.
