Four students have just graduated from a three-day flight attendant training course held by Aerostar Training Services at the company’s Kissimmee Airport headquarters in Florida.

During their training, the students covered topics including FAA regulations, aircraft terminology, the phonetic alphabet, military time, airport codes, weather and turbulence, flight attendant duties and announcements, safety briefings, emergency equipment and evacuation drills. The programme uses hands-on aircraft training equipment and access to study materials through the JetPubs application.

The flight attendant training course also focuses heavily on job preparation, with AeroStar assisting with resume writing and conducting mock interviews with students. "Our instructor is an active flight attendant with over 30 years’ experience who has also worked as an airline recruiter," said Robin Frey, AeroStar's Director of Marketing. "This means he can help students understand what airlines are really looking for in their cabin staff."

AeroStar Training Services is partnered with various regional airlines which seek out its graduates. One of the most recent flight attendant training graduates received a call for an interview the day after completing the programme.

The company holds its flight attendant training courses six times a year, with the next course due to take place from 12-14 February 2018.
