Due to its UK-based headquarters, Flyco Training Solutions says it has already been exposed to the most strict privacy and security regulations in the industry, which placed the company well in terms of becoming fully compliant with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which will take effect on 25 May.
“In the light of recent events, we would like to clarify that Flyco as a group and any of its subsidiaries are not in the business of selling any form of data and/or advertisement,” commented Orcun Sufraci, Chief Technology Officer of Flyco Group.
To become GDPR compliant, Flyco has advised clients they only keep and collect information relevant to services being provided, such as course logs, exam logs and other course-related information which is crucial to the core aspects of the service Flyco is providing. Flyco itself does not share any private data belonging to registered users in its system, with the sole exception of stakeholders for which Flyco is liable (Civil Aviation Authorities and companies in which registered users are already employed).
Flyco has also ensured the security of its every process. The data input into its LMS website is secured by an SSL certificate and the company constantly runs diagnostics and executes checks to ensure secure storage of sensitive data. Its system is also regularly tested against malevolent activities and unauthorised access attempts. Flyco does not store cookies on users’ personal devices nor exchange them.
Elsewhere, Flyco Training Solutions has recently partnered with Embry-Riddle’s Worldwide Campus.
