ATP Flight School began training its inaugural class of American Airlines Cadet Academy students at the Charlotte-Concord training center. Four cadets started this week, marking the first class enrolled through ATP since becoming an official partner school earlier in 2025.

The cadets will train alongside 30 other students in Charlotte and more than 2,700 nationwide. After completing training, they will gain experience as flight instructors before advancing to American’s regional carriers and eventually transitioning to mainline operations.

To mark the partnership, ATP and American will host an open house at the Charlotte-Concord center on September 24. Prospective students can attend, learn about the Cadet Academy pathway, and meet recruiters from American and its regional airlines Envoy, Piedmont, and PSA.
