Aircraft manufacturer AURA AERO has inaugurated an 11,000 sq. ft facility at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Research Park, establishing its U.S. headquarters and first production site. The campus will host the North American Delivery and Customer Support Center for the INTEGRAL program and support development of the company’s hybrid-electric ERA aircraft.

The initial production line will assemble the INTEGRAL family of two-seater, aerobatic-capable training aircraft, initially with a Lycoming piston engine and later in a fully electric version. The United States, with nearly 600 FAA-approved flight schools and over 75,000 pilots, represents a major market for the INTEGRAL program. The aircraft has been certified by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), with FAA certification ongoing.

AURA AERO plans to open a 500,000 sq. ft assembly line for its 19-seater ERA aircraft in 2028, with production in France and the U.S. The United States currently accounts for over one-third of global orders for ERA, and volumes are expected to rise as additional commitments are confirmed. The company has a letter of intent book exceeding 650 ERA aircraft, valued at more than $10.5 billion.

The project follows a partnership with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and received support from Space Florida, the state’s aerospace economic development agency. It is expected to create more than 1,000 skilled jobs in the region.
