MPS has made four announcements this week at the World Aviation Training Summit (WATS), spanning a new product line, an expanded aircraft type offering, a new customer agreement, and a facility opening.

The company has launched an E-Jet simulator product line in collaboration with Embraer, covering both E1 and E2 narrow-body regional jets as fixed-based simulator options. The first delivery is expected in 2027.

MPS is also now offering the A321 Standard 3.x FTD, expanding beyond its previous A320-based Standard 2.x offering. The first unit will be delivered to Riyadh Air, which contracted MPS in Q1. The Standard 3.x FTD is designed to eliminate the need for airlines to purchase a full flight simulator for differences training between the A320 and A321.

Salient has signed a letter of intent for up to three MPS FTDs, intended for a new training facility in Northern Italy to support an MPL programme including type rating.

"MPS FTDs combine the fidelity, flexibility and value our MPL programme demands," said Michael Varney, CEO of Salient. "They are the right devices, from the right partner, at the right moment for Salient."

Oxford Airline Training (OAT) has also opened its facility at London Oxford Airport, installing an MPS B737NG FTD and an MPS A320 FTD. The facility will deliver UK CAA approved modular pilot training including APS MCC, MCC instructor training, Instrument Rating, and UPRT training.

"MPS is thrilled to launch E-Jet simulators for its customers as it bridges the gap for airlines and operators who utilize E-Jets for short and medium-haul flight paths," said Philip Adrian, MPS Chief Executive Officer.
