CAE is beginning training for the first pilots of Bombardier’s Global 8000 business jet this year, supporting operators ahead of the aircraft’s entry into service. As Bombardier’s Authorized Training Provider (ATP), CAE is providing pilot instruction to prepare crews for operational use.

Pilot training for the Global 8000 starts at CAE’s Montreal training centre in early December, with plans to expand to other CAE locations as the in-service fleet grows.

CAE has developed a pilot training program for the Global 8000 in collaboration with Bombardier. The program uses simulator technology, courseware, instructor-led sessions, and CORe training powered by CAE RiseTM to align with the aircraft’s performance and operational characteristics.

"The Global 8000 is the fastest business jet on the market with the lowest cabin altitude of any civil aircraft. Bombardier is thrilled to be working alongside CAE to provide essential instruction and training programs for pilots and our service and support teams," said Anthony Cox, VP Customer Support, Bombardier. “With this comprehensive training package, we can ensure that all aspects of the customer journey exceed expectations, providing customers with a truly excellent flying experience.”

CAE has also launched maintenance training programs for the Global 8000, covering safety, coordination, and teamwork on the ground. This includes differences training available via Computer-Based Training (CBT) for technicians transitioning from other Global series aircraft, as well as CBT Ground School for Engine Run & Taxi (ERT) and Crew Resource Management (CRM) training. These courses are offered at CAE training centres worldwide, at customer locations, or via live remote training using hybrid training rooms.
