Egnatia Aviation recently completed a strategic visit to Iraq and the Kurdistan region, reinforcing its commitment to advancing aviation training across the MENA region. Egnatia Aviation engaged with key stakeholders to deepen cooperation and support the future of aviation through high-level dialogue, education, and workforce development.

At the Delphi Forum in Slemani, Egnatia Aviation joined regional and international leaders in discussions on security, energy transition, economic diversification, and geopolitical developments. The academy contributed to broader conversations on aviation’s evolving role in the region’s future.

During official meetings with Iraqi Airways Training Management and the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, Egnatia Aviation reviewed ongoing collaboration and aligned with updated training and regulatory standards. As the exclusive training partner of Iraqi Airways, the academy reaffirmed its role in supporting Iraq’s pilot training pipeline.

Egnatia Aviation also met with Almaaqal University of Basra to explore opportunities for educational cooperation, aiming to expand aviation learning pathways and bridge academia with industry needs.

Finally, the academy delivered vocational guidance sessions at Basra Ishik Schools, introducing students to aviation careers. The sessions, held under the framework of Egnatia’s partnership with Iraqi Airways, offered students a clear path to aviation training and future employment.
