Elixir Aircraft has obtained FAA Part 23 certification for its 100hp Elixir aircraft, following its prior EASA CS-23 certification. This milestone allows the French manufacturer to expand operations into the U.S. market, targeting flight schools seeking modern, efficient training platforms.

The aircraft is designed with safety and simplicity in mind, using a one-piece carbon fiber fuselage, side-stick controls, and a ballistic parachute. The certified version features Garmin G3X Touch avionics and a GFC 500 autopilot, and is approved for day and night VFR operations.

To support a complete training solution, Elixir Aircraft has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ALSIM to jointly develop a high-fidelity flight simulator tailored to the Elixir cockpit. The planned device will replicate cockpit controls and avionics, including Garmin G3X Touch, GTN750, GNC 355, G5 backup instruments, and aircraft-specific systems like double slotted flaps and a ballistic parachute.

The simulator is being developed with Elixir-supplied aircraft data and is intended to meet both FAA AATD and EASA FNPT II certification standards. ALSIM will also provide ongoing support for the simulator’s implementation and maintenance.
