Epic Flight Academy officially opened its ninth FAA Part 141 flight school at Tuscaloosa National Airport on August 30, 2025. The opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce, followed by a community event that featured free discovery flights and simulator sessions.
Founder and CEO Danny Perna added, “We’ve really been grateful to the community for their support and engagement. We have already enrolled students and are proud to be training pilots in Tuscaloosa.”
Epic Flight Academy, founded in 1999, operates multiple training locations. In addition to flight schools under FAA Part 141, the academy also provides aircraft mechanic training at FAA Part 147 sites.
