Fiji Airways, announced at APATS 2025, it has selected  Flame Aviation's V9000 Commander Next Generation fire trainer to enhance its cabin safety training capabilities.

The V9000 Commander is one of Flame Aviation’s flagship models, designed to realistically simulate all possible in-flight fire scenarios. It features an integrated observation cabin, enabling large groups of trainees and instructors to observe training sessions in a comfortable and safe environment.

With the Next-Generation version, Fiji Airways will benefit from the latest advancements in fire training technology, including:

• High-fidelity fire and smoke simulation for multiple cabin locations

• Lithium-ion battery fire training capabilities to meet modern safety challenges

• Advanced instructor controls for precise scenario management

The fire trainer has already arrived in Fiji and will be commissioned next week at Fiji Airways’ brand-new Training Centre in Nadi. Flame Aviation’s installation team is on its way to complete the setup.

“We are honored to support Fiji Airways as they open their new Training Centre,” said Robin Pijnaker, Managing Director of Flame Aviation. “The V9000 Commander Next Generation will give their cabin crew the most realistic and effective fire training possible, ensuring they are fully prepared for any possible inflight fire scenario”.
