Elixir Aircraft has delivered the first of 12 Elixir training aircraft ordered by Greek flying school Egnatia Aviation in October 2024. The aircraft, ferried from La Rochelle and bearing the colors of both Egnatia and rental partner Green Aerolease, marks the first of six units scheduled for delivery in 2025. It will be based at Egnatia’s Kavala-Amygdaleon airport training center, known as “Lydia.” The remaining six aircraft from the full order are planned for delivery in 2026.

The handover was marked by Elixir Aircraft’s co-founder and Sales Director, Cyril Champenois, who presented the keys to Egnatia’s founder and CEO, Dimitris Lymperakis, in the presence of Green Aerolease executives. The aircraft features a Rotax 912 engine and glass cockpit, part of Elixir’s fourth-generation design that aims to reduce maintenance needs, operating costs, and fuel consumption through its lightweight carbon structure and low parts count.

Egnatia Aviation trains pilots for over 60 airlines, and this delivery aligns with the school’s fleet modernization strategy to meet rising global pilot demand. Elixir Aircraft now has 30 aircraft operating in France, with deliveries underway in Scotland, Spain, and Greece, and growing interest from the U.S. and Asia supporting its international expansion strategy.
