In aviation, training quality directly affects operational performance. In accordance with EASA and FAA Level D certification standards, HAVELSAN Full Flight Simulators (FFS) are designed and developed to provide pilots with a comprehensive and consistent pilot training in a realistic and structured training environment

HAVELSAN simulators are built to replicate worldwide used commercial aircrafts such as the Boeing 737 MAX/NG and Airbus A320/321. Cockpit layout, system logic, and flight behavior are based on real aircraft data. This allows pilots to practice procedures in an environment that reflects actual operations.

The simulators include integrated systems such as Flight Management Systems, autopilot functions, and aerodynamic models. These components allow pilots to train not only on procedures but also on how the aircraft responds under different conditions. Visual systems and image generation technologies are used to display terrain and weather conditions during training scenarios.

Instructors can manage training sessions through the Instructor Operating Station (IOS). This interface allows them to create and adjust scenarios, introduce system failures, and monitor pilot performance in real time. Training sessions can be adapted to different experience levels and training objectives.

HAVELSAN Full Flight Simulators support all phases of flight training. Pilots can perform preflight checks, take-offs, cruise operations, approaches, and landings within the same system. The simulators also allow for the practice of abnormal and emergency situations, supporting decision-making skills.

The systems include motion platforms with six degrees of freedom. These platforms simulate aircraft movements such as acceleration and turbulence. Visual systems and global terrain databases are used to support situational awareness during training.

The simulators are developed using Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) data. This ensures that aircraft systems, including avionics and hydraulics, behave consistently with real aircraft. Qualification Test Guide (QTG) tools are used to support testing and regulatory compliance.

In addition to full flight simulators, HAVELSAN offers Flight Training Devices (FTDs) which can be certified with EASA Level 2&1 or FAA Level 6-5-4. These systems provide a lower-cost option for procedural and basic training. They are used for different training programs, including type rating and instrument training.

The deep expertise and the wide variety of products and solutions of HAVELSAN in simulation and training tecnologies, has necessitated the company to expand its production capacity. In February 2026, in Ankara the company began construction of a new 17,000-square-meter Simulator Production and Integration Facility, which will be Europe’s largest simulator manufacturing center. The facility is planned to become operational in 2027 and is expected to support the production of more than 30 simulators per year, while enabling the simultaneous development of up to 16 devices.

HAVELSAN has over 40 years of experience in developing and manufacturing flight simulators and integrated training solutions for both military and civil aviation. To date, the company has delivered hundreds of simulators across more than 60 different platforms. Following the completion of its current backlog, total deliveries are expected to exceed 400 simulators for national and international customers.

HAVELSAN will present its simulation solutions at the World Aviation Training Summit (WATS), which will take place on May 5–7 in Orlando. At booth 413, the company will showcase its full flight simulators as well as other training systems developed for operational use.
