Entrol has sold a Bell 429 FTD Level 5 flight simulator to Helicopter Institute, a U.S.-based helicopter training center. The simulator is expected to be installed in summer 2025 at the company’s Fort Worth, Texas facility.

The Bell 429 FTD Level 5 is designed to provide immersive training for both aspiring and experienced pilots. The simulator features Garmin GTN 650H Xi and GTN 750H Xi avionics for operational realism, a GMA340H intercom system to support instructor-trainee communication, and a 200ºx40º cylindrical visual system to simulate realistic flight environments. It operates using a database based on X-Plane 11, allowing for customized training scenarios specific to Helicopter Institute’s requirements.

The sale marks Entrol’s continued expansion in the U.S. simulation market. “Helicopter Institute’s trust in our technology strengthens our presence in the U.S. market and demonstrates the value we bring to leading aviation training centers,” said Íñigo Hernández, Business Development Manager at Entrol. “With this Bell 429 FTD Level 5, pilots will train in a highly realistic environment, improving their readiness for real-world operations with unmatched accuracy and reliability.”
