Airways Aviation has partnered with Atlântica – Instituto Universitário to launch an integrated programme combining a Bachelor’s Degree in Air Transport Management with an Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL). The course is designed to allow students to develop both management skills and professional pilot qualifications simultaneously.

Students begin with ATPL theoretical training, which counts toward the degree, and continue with modules in management, economics, marketing, and aviation regulation. The programme aims to prepare graduates for both cockpit operations and leadership roles in aviation.

Alexandre Alves, CEO of Airways Aviation Portugal and Group CCO of Airways Aviation Group, said, “This partnership represents a decisive step in aligning academic training with the real-world demands of the aviation sector. By integrating the Bachelor’s Degree in Air Transport Management with the ATPL, we are creating well-rounded professionals, prepared not only to fly but also to lead and transform the future of aviation.”

The programme reflects growing demand for integrated training solutions that combine technical and strategic skills for the global aviation industry.
