A new Oxford-based Approved Training Organisation (ATO), Oxford Airline Training (OAT), has opened its new commercial pilot training facility following the acquisition of two MPS simulators. An MPS B737NG FTD and an MPS A320 FTD have been installed at Oxford's training hall at London Oxford Airport. The simulators, alongside on-aircraft training, will be used for UK CAA approved Modular pilot training, including APS MCC courses, MCC instructor training, Instrument Rating and UPRT training.

The facility, led by co-founders Anthony Petteford and John Hardcastle, welcomed its first group of students last month. As the organization expands, additional training courses will be introduced, and the MPS simulators will also be available for dry hire by airlines and individual pilots.

Anthony Petteford, OAT Director explained: "Our strategy to co-locate these two MPS, excellent type-specific jet simulators alongside our complementary fleet of DA42 aircraft and simulators, has unlocked the ability to offer turnkey pilot training solutions in a single purpose-built location. Moreover, with our strategy also dedicated to the Modular pilot training market, we believe the fidelity of these devices combined with great instruction and facilities, 'levels-up' the airline employment opportunities that should rightly also be available to our graduates".
