Coptersafety and TRU Simulation have signed an agreement for the delivery of an AW139 Level D Full Flight Simulator (FFS) to be installed at Coptersafety’s training facility near Helsinki International Airport in Finland. This marks the second AW139 simulator from TRU to be added to the center.

Like Coptersafety’s first TRU-built AW139 Phase 7 FFS, the new simulator will include advanced avionics, realistic flight dynamics, and high-fidelity visual systems that replicate diverse operational environments. Features such as motion, vibration cues, and smoke generation will allow for immersive, scenario-based training covering offshore, search and rescue (SAR), and emergency medical services (EMS) missions in a controlled environment.

The simulator will be qualified to Level D by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority (UK CAA), and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). It is scheduled to begin training in the first half of 2027.
